A New Artistic Outlet!!

It's been a long time since I updated this blog and I thought I would share some of my recent works in a completely new medium for me - - ceramic pottery. Thanks to my friend and lifelong potter Michael Soeby I've branched out and begun making pots and other ceramic items. I'm set up at home with all the equipment, tools and materials I need. And thank goodness! It has helped to keep me busy, challenges me to learn new things and allows me to "check out" from all the madness. It's strange, I have not been able to concentrate enough to paint for the last few months but I am very motivated to create in clay. Go figure. Artwork photos to follow.

These are the "before" pictures of my booth at this year's Nestucca Valley Art Fair. Thanks to all who made this such a successful show, it was great to see so many locals in addition to a great turnout of visitors. 25 paintings found their way to new homes!
